Church excommunicates doctors who performed LEGAL abortion on raped 11-year-old girl

Church condemns abortion performed on raped girl, 11: "A Vatican official has said the Catholic church will excommunicate a medical team who performed Colombia's first legal abortion on an 11-year-old girl, who was eight weeks pregnant after being raped by her stepfather."

Do you suppose they'll excommunicate the stepfather? Likely not.

And as a senator, Gina Parody, said: "The Vatican has the right to excommunicate whomever they choose. But I would hope that they also excommunicate priests when they rape boys or girls."

Crooks and Liars

Crooks and Liars: "Countdown covered Brian Williams interview with Bush last night."

Intereseting little clip. The best part, for me anyway, is 5:24 into the clip -- "The key for me is to keep expectations low."

Mr. President, you have succeeded. Goober.

Messing with telemarketers

The dude says: A little while ago I put together a little application on our phone system so that when a telemarketer calls in, I can transfer them to this extension and annoy the hell out of them.

This is priceless. Wonder if he'll make it available for in-home use?

Ernesto

CNN.com - Ernesto drenches Florida, threatens Carolinas - Aug 30, 2006: "The storm made landfall at 11:30 p.m. ET Tuesday on Florida's Plantation Key with winds of 45 mph, far from the 74-mph threshold for a hurricane that Ernesto briefly met Sunday. "

Ok, it's not a fucking hurricane anymore. It's just a bad rainstorm. Yet CNN is still talking about it on TV. Hell, it was windier here a few days ago. No CNN coverage. And the weather we had was far more rare that a hurricane in Florida for goodness sake.

See the progress for yourself - Rising from ruin - MSNBC.com

See the progress for yourself - Rising from ruin - MSNBC.com

Why doesn't MSNBC do a photo-story on how messed up New Orleans still is?

This MSNBC thing reminds me of Jeanne Moos and her "story" on the "Bush brand sense of humor." As I write, the video is on this page near the bottom.

Pueblo Colorado Storm 8-26-06

This is video I took of a storm that went through Pueblo yesterday. You can see the rotation in the clouds. We did have a tornado but it didn't cause much damage. Most of the damage was from other wind and some hail.

Of Course It Hurts

I was lookin' through Cafe Press and found this merchant.

It's been awhile

Howdy. Man, it's been a while since i've posted. Bush is still 'staying the course' and Lieberman's quickly turning into an elephant. Melissa's tour is almost over and FOOTBALL season is about to start.

And this dog loves this little kitten. :)
